Bram left with Hubby this morning. I am sad and I already miss him. My Brammy.
Hubby is pheasant hunting up in the Texas panhandle this weekend and is taking Bram and one of my nephews to his mom's en route. Iddy and Pa's house is like Disneyland. The spoiling is crazy and the amount of toys purchased is nuts. But they LOVE IT!
Last weekend was a spoil-a-thon at my parents and now this weekend with Iddy and Pa. Life is good for the Braminator.
And the kicker is, Bram and Chase get to be IN the Christmas parade ON a float.
It is going to be nice to have a "girl's weekend" with Miss Tess, we will do some Christmas shopping today and a Christmas party in Austin tomorrow. Lots o' fun will be had.
But I miss my dude.
This morning he asked, "are you going to miss me?"
"Of course I am! I miss you even when I am sleeping. Even when you are away from me for a second, it makes my heart hurt."
His response, "are you lying?"
Melts my heart.

Drama KING
My three and a half year old is now rolling his eyes at me. He hasn't mastered it quite yet, so it is more like he looks up, down, and side to side. The whole eye roll takes about a minute.
But it is definitely an eye roll.
I was under the impression eye rolling was an expression of exasperation that a thirteen year old girl gives. Not a three and a half year old boy. This bothers me.
Next he is going to be screaming, "I HATE YOU!" and locking himself in the bathroom.
Oy!

Three year old QUOTE OF THE DAY!
"Frosty the Snowman is a good man."
"He doesn't punch people in the face."
Isn't that good to know?
"He doesn't punch people in the face."
Isn't that good to know?
Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do?
Last Wednesday we all loaded up and headed to my parents for the holiday weekend. We had to take two cars since Hubby was leaving for the stupid, idiot hunting lease on Friday.
Lucky for me, I got to ride with both of the kids. It doesn't get any better than a three hour car ride with two toddlers. Well, unless your Casey and do 13 hours. And that is why she is a better mom than me.
So we are following Hubby through a little town. Hubby is next to us and we are all waving and doing the "look there is Daddy!" kind of stuff. Then the police lights start flashing. Uh-oh.
Hubby is getting pulled over. I keep going because at that point on the highway there isn't a place to pull over safely and I knew I could wait for him safely in the next town.
Safety first.
We are driving happily down the highway, singing along with the Mama Mia soundtrack for the 10,000 time, and Bram says, "Hey Mom, when we get to the police station, can I talk to the cops and tell them how nice my Daddy is and how much he plays with me?"
"What the....?"
Poor guy thought that after Hubby was pulled over, he was immediately going to be put in the slammer. AND he wanted to plead with the police and tell them what a great dad he had. My precious sweet boy.
I had to explain to him that the police have to pull over drivers if something isn't safe and that you just get a ticket or a warning, not jail time.
Bless his heart. I guess watching all those episodes of "Cops" when he was a baby wasn't a good idea. But I was addicted and couldn't stop. I do love me some good domestic disturbance episodes.....
AND in case you were wondering, Hubby got pulled over for a break light being out. Just a warning because he had JUST had his truck inspected that morning!!!

Old man/drunk driver update
I felt I had to follow up on my PI work today and called the police station.
Just doing my duty.
It was just a little old man who was out on a nightly drive. Scary. The police officers took him safely home.
Poor little old dude. I seriously hope his kids take his keys away for good.

I saved a life/lives tonight
That's right! Y'all do not need to hold out for a hero, you have one right here. It's me! Coco!
Tonight I was leaving the HEB (Texas grocery store) after purchasing milk and diet coke (I am living off of that for the next two weeks, just an fyi). Our HEB is a straight shot from the gates of our neighborhood to the front door of our local grocer.
So, I had just started toward home and the car in front of me was going super slow. I think to myself, "oh great I am behind an old man." Which is pretty typical since I live in Old Man Land.
But then the swerving started. Bad swerving. Head on collision swerving. The street I was on is only 30 miles an hour but this guy was totally driving on the other side of the road, then back in his lane, then BAM! a curb. Luckily only going around 20 miles an hours.
I decided to call 911, I was afraid he would turn left and head to the main Hwy that takes you right out of town and toward San Antonio. This would be catastrophic! He would be driving on a very windy, hilly, and a high trafficky highway.
The 911 lady and I talked while I followed him and I gave her a play by play of mine and the white cars location. And I was right, he did turn left towards the highway. Luckily the police got right behind him as he was getting onto the hwy. They stayed behind him for about 2 seconds and he was pulled over, it did not take long for them to see the severity of the situation.
This guy would of for sure seriously injured or worse, killed someone if it wasn't for my quick thinking and direction giving skills. That is for sure.
He may not of been drunk. It could of very well of been an old man having a diabetic seizure or a stroke. Or even somebody really old that had his keys taken away and was trying to make a quick getaway. Hopefully he is ok.
I sat and watched for a tad bit, just to see if they needed any back up support from me. They didn't.

Dear Coco
So the holidays were good, huh? You seemed to of really enjoyed yourself. That is great. But we need to have a little talk.
The food festival is over. Ovah! I guess I forgot to tell you last night, but the official end time for the Thanksgiving food festival is the Sunday after Thanksgiving, 11:59 pm. I am telling you this now so that you will be sure to remember next year. Please go mark your calendar now. I'll wait.
Now let's discuss what happened this past week. Shall we? The chili pie you had on Tuesday was the kick off, and good for you. You have been really working out, running a lot and eating well. I didn't mind this at all. Nothing says, "I love you" to your body like Fritos, canned cheese and Wolf Brand chili. And those jalepenos, onions, and sour cream on top? Deliciouso! Muchos Gracias is all I have to say about that!
But I thought that might be it until Thursday evening. Ha! Boy was I wrong. Da-yum girl, you can seriously throw down. Jalepeno poppers and a Dr. Pepper from Sonic? Nice. I had not had a real Dr. Pepper since you were pregnant with Bram in 2005. And donuts for breakfast? Holy chub rub Coco!
Thanksgiving was great, as was Friday. Prime Rib is always the best and spicy mac and cheese is a favorite of yours. So that was expected. Then the stuffed mushrooms were, wow, a total surprise.
Lots of red wine and apple thyme martinis were good at first. But you kind of acted like what one might call a, how do I put this nicely........a functioning alcoholic. This is fun, yes, but good for your ass? Not at all. Not to mention your liver.
Yesterday you mentioned "low carbing" it. I was pretty excited about this, chicken salad is a great choice. But not on croissants. And yes, I know you ate more than one.
One last thing, I thought this mornings McDonalds stop was for a "diet Coke only." Not a diet Coke and chicken biscuit with a hashbrown. Are you kidding me lady? That is just gross.
So let's try to get back on track starting RIGHT NOW! I really want to wear cute clothes this holiday season, not yoga pants and sweatshirts. Please. You will run three times this week, and every day at the gym. NO CARBS and no booze. Well, maybe a glass of two of red wine but let's try to use good judgement.
Are we clear? Good. You're super hot, super funny, super smart, super skinny, a super wife, a super mother. I love you and only want what is best for you.
Love,
your body
P.S. I saw you eating spinach/artichoke dip with a spoon. Just sayin'
