Good times were being had by all. Richard Marx playing loudly. My kids laughing. A sprayer of bleach in one hand and a sponge in the other.
I was in heaven.
Then it got very quiet.I walked in and saw this. And I got out my camera and just went with it. Washable markers come off kids with little to no effort.
Bram was very serious about coloring his sister.
He took his time and was careful to add special detailing to her body art.
Tess is feeling much better. Little lamb still has a fever, so we are quarantined again today. Blah. Blah.
I bought some pumpkins for us to carve and roast pumpkin seeds, a project that may last 2o minutes before they get bored. So wish me luck to another day of nothing.
And since it seems my kids are always in their undies, I felt a little alone, isolated and ashamed about it. SO, below is proof that there are clothes for my kids in this house.
After the arts and crafts of the day was over, they both got in my big bathtub, full of bubbles and played for 45 minutes!

You are a brave, brave woman... I would have kicked T's butt had he colored on his sister; I'm way too OCD to handle such things!
It does look like he had fun though :)
Glad she is feeling better!
such cute pictures! so fun that they can play together. Me and my brother were 5 years apart..
He's got some serious artistic skills! I too am impressed you let him color her - but hey if it means you can get some other things done and there is not crying, then why not!
Love Tessie Mayes' tats. Bram could guest star on L.A. Ink! Real talent. Do you think he could hook me up with a fierce looking skull and crossbones? I think it would really shake things up at the PTO meeting.
Thinking of you in Sickland...
Love this......way to kick the OCD out the door and have some fun. I just did a huge mess of playdough and coloring....post to come.
Still worried about the clothes situation.
These are pictures you pull out to show what a cool mom you are/were! I love this...you know, sometimes you just have to think "really, what is the harm?" Plus being cooped up i'm sure this was just a nice little break in the routine!
Love how Tess is just so easy...just sits there while her brother paints her up!
Great artwork!! At least it wasn't permanent marker which can take a few days to wash off!! The "silence" is always the big red flag isn't it?? Hope everyone is feeling better. I had Colton in last week for an ear infection and it was still $100 worth of medicine, WTF???? And he spit it out all over the floor so it was pointless.
I noticed what Carrie did, too-Tess is holding so still!
And, yeah, the no clothes thing? Kinda weird, Cocobean. Kinda weird.
I would have laughed and washed her off too! That kind of stuff doesn't bother me because at the end of the day, what matters is how much fun they had! I have had to teach my hubby to enjoy this side of my parenting style. Messes don't freak me out...perfectly neat children's places do!
Glad Tess is feeling better. Hope her fever goes away soon!
Love that you let Bram use Tess as his paper. You're a fun mom! I'm a little OCD but try to remember that kids make messes and IT'S OK! It's hard sometimes!!
LOL. I just love coming here. I love that they're coloring on eachother and I want a sibling for Tristan so he could do that too! Hah.
Alone, isolated and ashamed, you? Never!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is the funniest thing! You have to send those pics in somewhere... Bram was really into his art! LOL
Sometimes an artist is just moved by the moment--ya gotta love it!
