The plate addition and wine swap results. OhhhhAhhhhh......

We are one tired family here in Cocoland. Cousin's Day was a hoot. I seriously think Bram swam for six hours straight, not kidding. Lots of family, lots of fun. Pictures to come soon.

I stopped at Anthropologie in Southlake and made three plate purchases to add to the collection. I am trying to phase out my chickens. So my new plates replaced little chicken canvases. I love them and their colors.

I have clusters of plates throughout my kitchen and breakfast nook.

The middle plate was purchased in the Grand Caymens. I made an arrangement on the wall using two Southern Living at Home plates.

These four are from all my trips to Mexico. On all my plates, I put in sharpie where they were purchased, the date, and who gave them to me.

These three plates are next to my bar and the only three rotated. Halloween plates, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines and Easter plates all replace these three at the appropriate times.

Pretty exciting stuff huh? My powder bath is where I keep my main collection. All my plates from all over the world and some just from flea markets hang from ceiling to floor. I love it and it gives guests something to look at as the tinkle. Or poo. Whatever they may be doing in there.

Moral of my story. Plates are fun to collect. Inexpensive and bring a lot of color to your home.

The end.

Now it is time for swap results. Fun fun fun. Tess actually did the actually drawing, so this took 30 minutes to select, rather than the 3 minutes it should of.

And last but surely not least...

Coco and The Rands

Please get with your buddy and decide a time to mail your wineglass. Get to know the person a bit and that will help you find a fun glass that will match personalities.

Have fun and Happy shopping and BOTTOMS UP!

I LOVE your new plates! You should do a post on your powder bath. I notice a plate I haven't seen before each time I go in there.

I didn't see my name on the exchange list at first and I got a little nervous! So happy to be your wine swap buddy!

I did this too! But not as extensive as your plate collection. I put a frame around the two plates I had...it was cool. Hubby kept making fun of it asking if I was going to do a whole place setting etc....smartass...

Fun plates! I have some in my house too but my big collection thing these days are stone coasters from different wineries that I visit and like. Always a conversation piece for people that come over :)
Hey! how do I get in touch with Merry Mack? Went to her blog but didn't see a post or a way to contact?

I am also a lover of plates hanging on walls. I was just thinking yesterday that I don't have anywhere to hang my plates in our new house. I will have to find some new ones as well. I should send you my other ones...they would match your kitchen perfectly. :)
