Wineglass, Martha, Halloween, tutus and a recipe.

First of all a big SHOUT OUT to The Rands for my darling, precious wine glass. I love it and used it last night. And it couldn't be more fitting, since my true title is on it!

In ONE WEEK both of my wild indians will be heading off to MOTHER'S DAY OUT! BOTH OF THEM! Can I get a HALLELUJAH!! Holy moly will that be so nice and quiet. It will be Brammy's third year but Tess' first. I am sure she is going to be the teacher's favorite.

And I am not just saying that because I am her mother, the child has the quirkiest little personality I have ever seen and is just a joy to be around.

Bram will be in one of my good friend's class this year, who teaches the 4 year old class, so he will fo'sho' be Miss Amy's favorite because she adores and loves him almost as much as Hubby and I do. And that is a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot.

So that is what I am counting down to. Minute to minute. Sweet baby Jesus give me a tiny bit of piece and quiet.

Moving on.

On Saturday I purchased this little gem for Miss Tess:

I had to. Poor girl has been spending her days in ghetto Spiderman costumes and Barbie high heels. The lady needed something sassy for her dress up time. She LOVES it. Has had it on every. second. of. the. day. Except to nap. Tulle isn't comfy when napping.

I am trying to think how to incorporate it into some kind of Halloween costume. Any ideas?

Next random topic. Meet Martha.

Martha Washington Coco. She is our new dog. We actually adopted her July 4th weekend, Martha Washington, get it? I haven't mentioned her on the blog because I didn't know how she was going to work out. As we had a few issues in the beginning. But all is good and I love her.
Tess loves her. Bram loves her. Hubby doesn't really give a dookey since she isn't a lab or has anything to do with hunting and retrieving.

Martha was attacked by a pit bull and her tail was ripped off. She is 100% now and a lover undercover. I couldn't be happier with my Martha. She is only 9 months, a terrier mix. Just a dream boat.

Just a random picture of my kids checking out toys in some catalogs. I thought this was funny because both of the little dorks read these magazines for an hour! Weird.

And an end of summer recipe that I did last night and it was AWESOME!
Bacon, Egg, Spinach, and Tuna Salad a la Coco:

4 eggs
6 slices of bacon
12 oz tuna steaks
1/2 cup white wine vinegar
2-3 Tbsp. honey
1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 6 oz package of fresh baby spinach

Boil your eggs, set aside.

In large skillet cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Drain and reserve drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon and set aside. Remove 2 Tbsp. of drippings for dressing. Add tuna to skillet; cook over medium-high heat three minutes per side. Transfer to cutting board, cover and keep warm. Slice before serving.

Wipe skillet clean. Whisk in reserved drippings, vinegar, honey and mustard to skillet. Bring to boil.

Line plates with spinach, top with sliced tuna, crumbled bacon and eggs. Drizzle dressing and sprinkle pepper.

Healthy and yummy. Like restaurant yummy.

So that is it for the day. Everyone have a great Tuesday!!!!!

Yay for Martha! Kids are almost potty trained.....it's a good time. Us? Still not ready for a dog. Sheesh.

The tutu is darling....love a good dress up collection. I've started buying outfits as I see them on sale.....such fun!

As for costume...all you need to do is add a bow with that tutu and she has a costume...too cute! I am NOT showing it to Sydney. She loves that kind of stuff. She only takes dance for the costumes (I think).

Puppy Martha! Hooray!
Puppies suck at first. Tony was ready to send her back to Sioux City after using the new white rug as her personal grass strip. But, I finally learned to keep baby wipes and potty spray next to the rug, and clean up quickly, silently, and stealthily. Like a cat. Shhhh.
Good for you for rescuing her!

Love the tutu!! My guys could look at magazines for hours and the little flyers that come inside of some toys-like the thomas the train that lists all kinds of trains and other expensive options to add on to your already over priced purchase.

Love that puppy! My boys would love a small dog like that, but we're afraid of Carter trying to put it in his backpack and take it to school!

OK, there was so much there I wanted to comment on. Let me "show original post."

Love the wine glass. Gotta get mine out!!! That tutu is adorable!!!!! Makes me wish I had a girl. Just a split sec. And I cannot believe a pit bull ripped off your doggie's tail. Awful. But glad you're enjoying your new pup.

Have a great weekend.
