I am serious

I want to adopt some Haitian babies. This is breaking my heart. I need to sit down and have a serious discussion with the Hubs regarding this matter.

I want to go to Haiti, take the first two I see. I want to hug them and tickle their backs to put them to sleep. They have to be exhausted.

Or just let them sleep in my arms as I rock them and pat their backs.

Give them warm bubble baths and then put them in soft pajamas.

Put a movie on while they cuddle on the couch under a blanket. Sippy cups of milk and a bowl of goldfish or popcorn in their laps.

Then off to a warm, clean bed. Where they fall asleep and wake up to a home. Not scared, not alone.

With me.

The saddest thing is that the conditions pre-tragedy were tragic enough. This is simply devastating. We all need to give, pray, help.

I think so, with you that is. A friend sent me a link to a newspaper article about how this is just screwing up all Haitian adoptions because all paperwork has been lost.

I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you - John 14:18

It's awful. I can barely watch it because I feel guilty sitting in my cozy living room while these poor people are suffering so badly.
Definitely need to give and pray, pray, pray!!

I recently heard this quote, "People in Haiti just want dignified poverty". So very sad.
So very sad.

I saw articles online about the troubles with Haitian adoptions too. There were many babies that were just weeks away from being adopted and now the paper work is gone. They are worried the babies will starve to death while they try find the paper work. It is just so sad. Obama needs to step and bring the babies to the US so they can be adopted. The other delay is they say it could take weeks if not months to figure out what children are truly orphaned and which ones were just seperated from their parents.

Via Twitter, I helped get some info out to some famous people to help rescue some orphans that are cleared to come to the US but just need a way to get here. Seems senseless to leave them in a backyard somewhere while conditions deteriorate. These orphans have homes already assigned to them HERE.

Heartbreaking.

So sad - they did a special collection at church this morning for the relief work.

Some Missionaries at my parent's church said that they have stayed in Haiti for the last 12 years because the people there are so wonderful. They said that moments after the earthquake, with total devastation all around, they were walking through the streets with their hands in the air praising God. wow.

I love how you described the Mama nurturing stuff. I feel the same way and you put it so well!

BTW, check my blog...I made an announcement :)
