it's raining, it's pouring....

what a wonderful fall weekend we had in cocoland.

i had a girls night with my three besties on friday night. hill country wine and food festival. lots of fun with lots of wonderful food and vino. except the cabrito, i actually had to spit it out. and of course was caught spitting it out. classy.

saturday was bram's second soccer game. and i have to say it was much better than last weeks. he is very fast and once he gets behind the ball, he is like lightening. dude got two goals!!

i kind of turned into crazy weird mom, yelling, "go dash, run! run! you've got it buddy! go! keep going! go dash!!"

dash? you ask.

why yes. bram thinks he is dash from the incredibles. if we call him dash, he focuses and runs. fast. really fast. weird? yes, a little weird but it works for us and our weird kid.

unfortunately, some of the parents think his name is dash. dash. bram. bram. dash. kind of the same.

the rain started as soon as the game ended. so off to eat mexican the coco family went. once we got home, i squeezed my fat ass into some juicy and we lounged all day. it was fabulous. i even made homemade lasagna. yummy!

we got a tiny break in the weather yesterday, so we tried out tess' new scooter, courtesy of maggie and poppy (hub's dad and stepmom)

it was humid and hot yesterday. i was angry, i wanted the cool to still be here. but we needed to get out of the house. there is only so much chicken little a mom can watch.

tess found the puddles right out of the gate. awesome. i must get this girl some play shoes.

my kids are dressed a little wt because it was wet and muddy.

and bram dresses himself these days. i pick my battles, folks. he is angry in the above photo because he wants to play on tess' scooter and not his own.

he fell on his scooter, so that automatically made tess' the superior scooter.

the little lady had a blast. and then it started raining again. back in the house we went.

the end.

Scootering in puddles is the best. My girls will find even the tiniest bit of water to scoot or jump in. Fun times!
Love Tess' shoes, too!

Glad Miss Tess had a good birthday! And "Dash" had a good soccer game. Funny...we call my nephew "Zip" because he zips around so fast everywhere. His real name is Zach. :)
