Something that has been on my mind.....

What in the world does, "You're under the gun, so you take it on the run..." mean?

If you don't know what song the above line is from, you are way to young to be reading my silly mommy blog.

But this is an important question, something that I often lay awake at night and think about.

In the darkness of the night, I whisper to Adam, "Babe, what does, "you're under the gun so you take it on the run, mean?" He usually just reaches over and pulls my hair.

I've asked God about it. I've asked strangers on the street about it. I even raised my hand in class and asked my Geography teacher in college about it, back in the day.

Nobody seems to know the answer.

I've never understood that line either. I've always thought maybe the person was in trouble and they had to haul ass.???? NO idea.
Love me some REO Speedwagon though. Did this come up because of Modern Family last night???

Oh the things that keep us up at night! LOL

I love that your husband pulls your hair. I'm the hair puller in our house.

I read an interview with one of the REO guys and they didn't seem to know either.

I have that CD and I really don't know either...can I pull your hair now?

Why did my mind go in the gutter when you said he pulled your hair?

Carrie and I must be cut from the same cloth. I have such a "guy's" mind. My thoughts immediately go to something dirty. I remember telling Ryan that early in our dating days....I had him hook, line, and sinker after that!

On another note, I have no clue what the whole "take it and run" part means!

I don't think I know this song and I'm older than you. (not by much, ladies, don't get excited)

How about you write them one of your letters and get to the bottom of it?

I don't understand one solitary bit of that song, and I'm glad someone finally had the guts to admit it besides me. "They're talkin' about you and it's bringing me down." But then, "If that's the way you want it..." What? Does he want her or not? Does he believe her or not?!

Oh I love that song. And doesn't it mean, when we feel pressure we just want to run the other way then face it head on. Take it on the run i.e. life on the run, always running, to run. he he hehe.

You're way too old to be using to/too incorrectly.
Just sayin.
