When Mr. Bram decides he doesn't want to mind, I have have a little trick that I do . I will pick up random books, magazines, cleaning supplies, shampoos, and such and act like I am reading them. Reading fake words that will benefit me and make my job as a mom much easier.
I will say things such as, "This magazine says," if you put your toys away, there is a great chance Santa might come a earlier this year.""
Yes, some might classify this as lying. I like to think of it as "creative parenting."
It has worked like a charm for the past two years. Like a beautiful passive aggressive, manipulative charm.
Until last night.
I was washing Bram's hair and he said he didn't want to rinse the soap out.
"Fine." I say, and pick up the bottle of shampoo. "It says on this bottle, "you better have all soap rinsed out by your mommy or your hair will fall out or possibly turn purple.""
Bram looked at me, picked up the bottle and said, "no, this bottle says, "moms need to quite pretending what the bottle says and let sons do what they want and not to say no. Ever.""
Sheez. Busted.
