Two addicts in the house. This is NOT good.

I feel I am dropping the ball as a mother. Seriously.

First of all, my son can't seem to keep clothes on and has a healthy appetite for all things "action heros" or battling. AND he is still totally addicted to pacifier. So addicted, that he woke Hubby and I up at 6 am this morning because he couldn't find it.

Yep, it is that bad.

Now it seems that Miss Tess has the same monkey on her back. No, not the nakedness, as of now, clothing stays on all day long. She is still too little to undress herself but I am just waiting for the day that all she has on is Dora undies.

I am afraid that the paci addiction is just as bad. To make it worse, is both of my spoiled kids prefer different pacifier brands. Oh yeah, that is how deep the addiction goes. So Hubby and I are usually found looking under couches and beds and digging through toy bins to find the "perfect" paci for each spoiled, overindulged child.

It is bad, and it is my fault.

Those are two laser guns tucked in his homemade "holsters." And the most annoying effing laser guns in the world. Most likely you will find these two guns in a cabinet, out of reach.
He totally thinks he is a super hero. I don't have the heart to tell him he isn't.

Here is a rare photo of Tess without a paci. She has started climbing on furniture. This would not be a problem at all, but you see, we have cement floors and her coordination is not the best.

See, reading a book, sucking her paci. I tried to take it away and she threw a fit. I gave it back. I am weak. Very weak.

Here is anther picture with the paci. I was trying to take a cute picture of the bow that stayed in her hair. ALL. DAY. LONG. But instead all you really notice is her navy blue paci.
(But you do see the bow don't ya? Huh? Huh?)

And last one, Bram and his baby blue paci. This child will be 4 in May. Really?

Had the same issue with the paci with my middle one....I thought he would end up in kindergarten with it! When he turned four, I told him that Santa Claus needed it back so that he could bring him presents for the next Christmas. How mean is that! It worked though. It's amazing the power Santa has over kids....wish I was Santa...

Anyway, that pic of your little guy with the homemade holsters freakin cracks me up!!! Been there, done that...my boys, I mean.

My is almost 2 1/2 and we have finally gotten him off the paci during the day while he is at the babysitters. Once we're in the car, it's all about the "saci," as he calls it. Don't stress it. No kid gross up to go off to college still sucking on a paci (in public at least). It's a way for them both to soothe themselves and there's nothing wrong with that! Anyone who says otherwise needs to lighten the frak up! :o)

Those pictures are great! Beautiful children!

Bram and Diva are just one month apart... her paci got lost on a cruise ship... seriously, and they dont sell them on board.

I love paci babies.. there is something so sweet about it... some day you will miss it.

YES!! I see the bow!

I think I like the Santa idea, Coco. You may have to wait a year but it just might work. Of course, you would have to do both at the same time, though. What does he do at school? They don't allow him to have one there, do they?

Yes other Coco, they do let him have it at school. Only to nap of course, but I don't want the burden of "breaking him" be on his teachers shoulders.

I am thinking at his 4th birthday both kids are going to go cold turkey. I don't mind it at all, just looking for them and losing them is starting to become an ass whip.

And I thought of doing the Santa idea, that is perfect. But I got too lazy.

I'm surprised the school allows him to have it, even if it is naptime...

first of all LOL at that cute lil man's holsters! THat is greatness! Love Tess's bow! Look at her hair growing in! Too cute!!!! They are both so cute!
I am so sorry on the pacis. What a whip to have to look for them. I don't have any personal advice but I did see on Super Nanny where they did that paci fairy thing. It worked like a charm. Mom and kids put all the pacis in an envelope for the mailbox to send to the paci fairy because lots of other babies needed them. The paci fairy took the pacis away in the middle of the night and left a gift in their place. I think it was something like that. Seems like a good idea!

I am still finding pacis under furniture and in closets. You should see the bowl full of pacis we have that we have collected throughout the house for the past two years.

Your kids are gorgeous!!!! (But you probably already knew that, huh?) :)

I totally see the bow! Don't worry!

I didn't realize Bram and Avery were so close in age... She'll be 4 on May 26th. Wow. We are right there with each other my friend!!!

(And my kids are spoiled and overindulged, too. I just hope they grow out of it.)

Oh, and btw... We tried soooo freaking hard to get both of mine to take a paci. Neither would. There's def. something to be said about a paci! I guess, though, having the addictive personality that I do, it's probably a good thing neither of mine would take it... They will already have enough to overcome.

Hahahah! Sorry, but it's so dang cute, the whole superhero thing with Bram. I would totally want him on my side!!!!!!! I don't think we ever even bought a paci when the little guy was born so I am not sure what one would do. But she sure is a cutie pie, with paci AND bow!!!!

We tossed the paci at 10 or 11 months I think. My mom was watching him and daddy forgot to bring it with him. We went cold turkey young. Best thing I ever did.

Wow, I didn't realize Bram was a May 05 kiddo. So is Caden!!!

My baby (who is now 6) had a paci with his name on it. He has stopped (so you do have hope). But my thought is surely to goodness they will not walk across stage to get their diploma for high school or college with it stuck in their mouth. Good Luck.
