Bad boys bad boys, whatcha gonna do?

Last Wednesday we all loaded up and headed to my parents for the holiday weekend. We had to take two cars since Hubby was leaving for the stupid, idiot hunting lease on Friday.

Lucky for me, I got to ride with both of the kids. It doesn't get any better than a three hour car ride with two toddlers. Well, unless your Casey and do 13 hours. And that is why she is a better mom than me.

So we are following Hubby through a little town. Hubby is next to us and we are all waving and doing the "look there is Daddy!" kind of stuff. Then the police lights start flashing. Uh-oh.

Hubby is getting pulled over. I keep going because at that point on the highway there isn't a place to pull over safely and I knew I could wait for him safely in the next town.

Safety first.

We are driving happily down the highway, singing along with the Mama Mia soundtrack for the 10,000 time, and Bram says, "Hey Mom, when we get to the police station, can I talk to the cops and tell them how nice my Daddy is and how much he plays with me?"

"What the....?"

Poor guy thought that after Hubby was pulled over, he was immediately going to be put in the slammer. AND he wanted to plead with the police and tell them what a great dad he had. My precious sweet boy.

I had to explain to him that the police have to pull over drivers if something isn't safe and that you just get a ticket or a warning, not jail time.

Bless his heart. I guess watching all those episodes of "Cops" when he was a baby wasn't a good idea. But I was addicted and couldn't stop. I do love me some good domestic disturbance episodes.....

AND in case you were wondering, Hubby got pulled over for a break light being out. Just a warning because he had JUST had his truck inspected that morning!!!

This is so funny (funny ironic). We had our carpet cleaned today by a guy who is also a policeman. He made mention of the fact that COPS has "ruined police work" because jurys don't want to convict anybody of anything these days without seeing the video.

Hey Starnes! 22 hours with a one year old. Myrtle Beach, SC to San Antonio. I needed a flask.

Whatever you do, don't teach him to bake a cake with a file in it.
