I went to Austin today to help a girlfriend shop for a dress for a wedding.
I was in Nordstrom's. I was touching Tory Birch shoes that I love. I was touching a Nanette Lapore dress that I adore. I tried on a DKNY dress that looked fabulous.
I only bought Easter dishtowels at Williams Sonoma. $16.
And in Cocoland, that is what we call making progress.

Pattin ya...when I was married before,I shopped like it was goin' out of style. If I even thought I liked it, I bought it. Then I figured out that I was shopping because that was what made me happy because I was not happy inside. I was simply filling a hole. Now that I'm happy, I can turn down those DKNY shoes without batting an eyelash! Makes you feel good doesn't it! Let's hear it for being responsible adults! Cheers!
Wow. That's self control, right there, sista! I'm pattin' ya on the back...
good JOB! whoo hoo!
it's so hard.
btw: in response to comment on eating: i think it IS the running!! crazy.
ALSO! i bought a bottle of layer cake today! excited about trying it soon.
Here is to simply walking away!
Now, how much did you spend on Tess?! LOL
I hope I have your willpower this weekend! Who am I kidding? Sounds like you had tons of fun.
I love Tory Birch.
Congrats on your restraint. I'm impressed.
Consider yourself patted!
You know I"m impressed-especially with the Tory Burch because a girl can always use a new pair of shoes...
Go you!!!!! That's how I feel when I am at the gourmet food store and I don't buy something just to buy it.
